One of the foremost principles of any democratic and healthy society is that the power vested in the
authorities should be exercised for public benefit. However, in day to day reality, one often sees this
power being misused for the sake of passing on advantages to a favoured few. This could be for
monetary considerations or for some other reasons. Such rampant abuse of power leads to
dissatisfaction and discontent in society and deprives and thwarts genuine talent from emerging
and flourishing. Eventually, the whole country stands to lose. PeRGo strives to lay a strong
foundation for opposing such abuse of power, wherever possible.
