Despite having one of the best Constitutions in the world, which clearly lays down that the State would work for the upliftment of all, the gap between the rich and the poor has endlessly grown in our country over the last seventy-plus years of independence. The increasing capitalist model of development has resulted in huge disparities. Even today we see many people dying of hunger. Children are not able to attend schools owing to the financial incapability of families. Society still discriminates on the basis of caste and creed. It is, indeed, a very unfortunate scenario. The upliftment of these weaker sections is extremely important for our country, where a significant number of people are marginalized on account of these factors. It, therefore, becomes our primary duty to extend a helping hand to these needy strata of society. At PeRGo, it is our continuous endeavor to do so.
